John’s Bio
John Kremke II has over 18 years experience in home building, land development, municipal planning and engineering. He began his professional career while in architecture school designing homes and room additions for various clients. He continued to develop his skills and knowledge while working as the Assistant to the City of Portage City Engineer which then lead him into the private sector as a Project Engineer for Duneland Group, where he worked on multiple land development projects throughout Northern Indiana. Through Duneland Group he also held the position of Building Commissioner for the town of Chesterton, Indiana. A highlight of his time at Duneland Group is that John had the opportunity to be a part of the project design team, as Project Engineer, for the first land development project in the nation to receive certification under the NAHB Green Building Standards. Throughout this time John continued his housing ventures while designing homes and building additions for various clients.

John’s next career move would help him develop the knowledge and experience necessary to become one of the nation’s Certified Green Builders and Certified Graduate Builders through the National Association of Home Builders. As the Director of Construction and Development Operations for Accent Homes, he was responsible for overseeing and managing the construction of several hundred homes. John implemented the NAHB Green Certified and Energy Star 5+ programs at Accent Homes and has built nearly 30 green certified homes to date. He also designed and supervised zero-defect quality management and code compliance protocols for customer delivery of 80 to 90 homes per year. While at Accent Homes, John also built a very responsive and successful customer service and warranty program for an approximately 1,000 home warranty inventory.
As Owner/Manager of J Kremke Construction Enterprises LLC, John is continuing to build on these successes by expanding his green/sustainable new construction efforts to include remodeling and renovation projects as well. He is also continually making improvements to the proactive quality management program with the intent of zero-defect delivery of new homes and renovations.
John’s background and experience in the construction and land development industries, for both private and public sectors, has enabled him to create J Kremke Construction Enterprises LLC, which will provide residents in Indiana, Michigan and southeastern Illinois with “green,” sustainable eco-friendly and energy efficient homes at an affordable price. His commitment to creating greener homebuilding, remodeling and land development industries, one project at a time, has created numerous opportunities for John to share his expertise in green building through workshops, presentations and seminars to any audience interested in learning more about green building solutions.
John currently lives with his wife and son in Porter, Indiana.
